Our history

We are a 3 generation family owned steel fabrication company working across the UK. Although we established Ro-Bal Steel Fabrication in 2005, as a family we have over 50 years experience working in the steel industry. We take pride in combining traditional hand crafting skills with the best of modern technology, having recently introduced our plasma cutting machine which creates truly outstanding products. Much has changed over the past 50 years!

Our facilities

We have an ultra-modern workshop with eight 5 ton cranes, drilling machines, bending machines, punches, saws and a 300 amp plasma CNC cutting machine, capable of cutting 40mm thick steel. Our production uses the latest techniques and software enabling the facility to process between 30-40 tonnes of structural steel and manufacture over 10 staircases each week.

Our team

We still consider metalworking a craft to be carried out by craftsmen/craftswomen with complete attention to details, and we try to combine the best of traditional hand crafting with the best of today’s modern technology to create products of outstanding quality and durability. Our team of permanent engineers are all highly skilled professionals who have a wealth of experience in Stainless Steel & Mild Steel metalwork.

Our services

We do still carry out occasional bespoke projects for private homeowners, but our primary focus these days is the commercial sector. From the engineering, drafting of drawings and design, through to fabrication, manufacturing, coating and installation, we provide a complete range of services.

Our standards

Our ISO 9001 & 14001 quality management procedures give us an excellent production platform to work off which keep bringing continuity and excellence to the products we manufacture. In July 2014 we achieved CE marking certification and can demonstrate compliance with the appropriate manufacturing standard for structural steel work, approved to Execution Class 3. Under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) we follow all legal obligations and mark our products so they are covered by the harmonised standards.

Our projects

We have a large portfolio of successfully delivered projects across across the UK. These range from small scale one-off projects such as private gates, railings and small staircases. Up to large commercial projects such as petrol stations, multi-storey staircases and bridges.
